Safety Retirement Research Committee Application
The Safety Retirement Research Committee will be responsible for researching policies and legislation in the State of California to see if Safety Retirement is feasible in LA County Probation. This committee will consist of members from the rank and file and will meet monthly or as needed. This committee will report to the president of Local 685 and give a monthly repot to the general membership. Our attorneys, executive board members, and consultants will be available for any assistance needed. In the event that committee members need to travel to Washington D. C. and or Sacramento, Local 685 will cover those expenses. Local 685 will also seek release letters from the Probation Department for committee members to participate. Feasible or not, we will make every effort to make Safety Retirement feasible in LA County Probation. No guarantees but hope and effort.
The first ten valid applications received will be on the Committee.
