AFSCME Local 685 is in need of union stewards at every work location and every shift.

Duties of the union steward include but are not limited to:
- Process grievances
- Meet with management for grievance hearings
- Meet with management to resolve issues/concerns
- Attend union meetings/activities/conferences
- Attend ongoing training in union/department functions
- Travel
- Disseminate union information to the membership at work locations.
- Represent members at investigation interviews and Skelly Hearings
- Attend other meetings as required
